Can you dig it? Yes you can!

Work has begun on the exclusive Edwards Estates development of apartments located in the newer part of Frigiliana, close to the Post Office.

Last week, the digger arrived to begin the groundwork for Altos de Frigiliana. The urbanisation has proved very popular with those wanting to reserve a brand new home of their own. In total, the development is comprised of three blocks and all the apartments have a private terrace and views.

Get on your bike to Edwards Estates

Over several years we here at Edwards Estates have enjoyed sponsoring all manner of local sports and businesses. Most recently we were proud to support the Frigiliana cycling club - 'Club Aguanosos.' The Edwards Estates logo can be seen at the heart of their distinctive outfits. We wish them many happy years of cycling around this beautiful area.

A local business we have been happy to sponsor is the Tuk Tuk that now escorts visitors through the older part of the village, including past our front door on Calle Real. The Tuk Tuk features in the new edition of our glossy magazine that is free to all and available to pick up from our offices and at a number of popular destinations in Frigiliana and Nerja.

Raúl Hernandez Mesa runs the 100% electric Tuk Tuk service. In the new magazine he tells us about the service he offers.

Raúl says: "I offer a route around the historic old town of Frigiliana which lasts approximately 25 minutes. On route I point out historic landmarks, providing photo opportunities for my customers during the journey.

"I myself have a disability which limits the ease with which I can walk, therefore my inspiration was that a person with disabilities like me, who cannot walk easily, can still have access and enjoy the historical centre of Frigiliana."

We've spotted Tuk Tuk passengers buying chocalate and gifts from the comfort of their seat and we recently saw a bride on her way to the church with Raúl as her chauffeur.

Our magazine also features the stories of people who have bought property in Frigiliana and there is a fascinating feature written by local lawyer, Pablo Rojo Platero. 'The Hiker and the Goat Herder' It's a fascinating and amusing tale of when a local goat herder met a hiker back in the 1960´s.

In our continuing series of interviews with the team here at Edwards Estates. we meet Rachael Terry. She manages our much visited website. Rachael talks about the latest innovations we've used to capture the best images of the properties we help to sell and reveals what sets Edwards Estates apart from the competition.

So there is plenty to read in the new edition of the magazine. Why not get on your bike and pick up a copy right now?

Come to Frigiliana for Carnaval

March 3rd and 4th is Carnaval weekend in Frigiliana. You really should try and get here to experience all the fun.

It's just one of the many colourful celebrations held in the village throughout the year but, unlike in big cities, Carnaval in Frigiliana has more of a family feel to it. It's not too big to be unmangeable, and not so small that you might miss it.

There are parades by day and night. The atmosphere is great.

Action stations! Edwards Estates on TV

Anyone living in Frigiliana will be accustomed to how often television camera crews visit the village. Recently the village mayor appeared on Spanish TV and the detailed programmed showed lots of pretty views of Frigiliana.

In recent years we've had numerous commercials filmed here, for anything ranging from tyres to wedding dresses. It is understandable. The village naturally lends itself to being an attractive backdrop for television.

And this coming Thursday, February 9th at 4pm, we are once again showing people houses on 'A Place in the Sun' on Channel 4.
